about the band

Six very long months is the time it took us to find the PERFECT match. I am happy to introduce Stephan Mossiat as the new member of be-funk. A bass player with a mission: guard the groove and make your inner self vibrate to the deep round sound of his bass.

Following our be-funk tradition he will be called SM aka the Super MothaFunker. The thrill of the anticipation of our next live performance is starting to gain all of my inner self. Give us some time to tune up, get our act together and soon we will be Funking up your nights again.

A sad moment in the band history, our bass player TG decided to leave the band. We had to cancel our planned gigs. I will certaily post a new story about that.

Back in January 2007 along with the new year something became clear.

After almost 3 years and 50 concerts together, AA (The Machine) decided to leave the be-funk project and persue other carreer opportunities, as they would say in the corporate world.

We will certainly miss his steady drumbeat, his impressive technique, his drinking skills, his women fatal attraction powers and his eastern english acent. All aspects which gratly contributed to the evolution of be-funk.

be-funk is the result of the combination of some unique musician, that
as all good things, happened with a little chance and a lot of hard
work.

be-funk is a funk band from Belgium. The band performs a funky and jazzy sound in live concerts around brussels night life milestone venues such as the
bank, the havana brussels, the tropa disco bar, the gecko bar.
